Bill & Jen aren’t your typical couple. He is a serial entrepreneur and she is a board certified neonatologist. He received his bachelor degree from NYU and has consulted and generated millions in incremental revenue for companies like GE Healthcare, Siemens and Tyco Healthcare. She received her bachelor degree from University of Miami, a Masters of Education from University of Pittsburgh and her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and is now the Medical Director of a state-of-the-art simulation center at Texas Children’s Hospital and is a practicing physician at the largest NICU in the country. But that’s not what makes them unusual.
He stands at 4 feet and has a rare variation of skeletal dysplasia called Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia (or SED) and has had more than 20 surgeries. She stands at just 3 foot 2 has a similar, and also rare type of dwarfism called Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Type Strudwick, has had more than 30 surgeries – and yet this too is not what makes this couple unique!
Where they truly differentiate themselves from other people is in their ability to persevere through difficult times, triumph over adversity and all the while, find enthusiasm with every challenge that comes their way. And they do it together as they draw from each other to reach new heights in their careers and personal lives.
Together, Bill & Jen also lead interesting (and uniquely public) private lives: They are featured on TLC’s #1 hit docu-drama, The Little Couple, which follows their personal and professional lives. As the show continues in 2014, they are embarking on their greatest adventure yet…parenthood!
They have also appeared on television programs including Oprah, The Today Show, GMA, The Dr. Oz Show, The Doctors, Wendy Williams, Anderson Cooper, Katie and CNN among others.
Both Jen and Bill have an active speaking schedule as well. Jen has a variety of topics she discusses with audiences, big and small.
